Publication in Breastfeeding Medicine

Data from my needs assessment survey at Penn Medicine has been published in Breastfeeding Medicine!

One of the best things about writing this paper (and doing this research) was the chance to collaborate with such staunch women. Dr. Stephanie Abbuhl is the director of Penn’s FOCUS program which promotes and supports women’s career advancement in medicine. Dr. Lisa Bellini is the Senior Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and the Chair of Penn’s Faculty Wellness Committee. Both are working to understand and reduce physician burnout and work-life conflict in academic medicine. Dr. Diane Spatz is the director of the lactation program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), an internationally recognized expert in breastfeeding research and was instrumental in developing the lactation support programs at CHOP and Penn.

I am humbled to have benefitted from the mentorship of all three.

More reports on this research to come in the form of two posters being presented at the American Public Health Association Conference in November.

Looking forward to APHA 2018
